Community Access Media is offering candidates for public office the opportunity to appear on our fall “Access to the Candidates” program. Voters in Erie County can watch your message and learn more about your candidacy in a 15-minute segment on Spectrum Channel 1021, or on our website at www.catverie.org. These “ATC Fall” segments will be recorded in our studio using our new HD BlackMagic Cameras.
Candidates who wish to take advantage of this opportunity should contact us by Friday, October 5th at 814.454.2226 to schedule an appointment. (Each appointment will take approximately 30 minutes total) Candidates must be available to record their segment at our studio (142 West 12th St.) on one of the following dates:
- Monday, October 8th from 10:00am – 4:00pm
- Tuesday, October 9th from 10:00am – 4:00pm
- Wednesday, October 10th from 10:00am – 4:00pm
*You may directly address your audience alone in front of the camera, or you can choose to bring in an interviewer with whom to conduct a dialogue.
The compiled programs that Community Access Television produces, “Access to the Candidates”, will be aired several times per week between October 16th and the General Election day on November 6th. The specific air times will be announced on the CATV website, community bulletin board, and publicized in the Erie Times-News.
There will be a one-time cost to your campaign which will cover HD filming, post-production, and airing of your segment; as well as provide you a Blu-Ray or DVD, and digital file copy for your personal use (website, social media, YouTube, etc.). You may prepay on our website (www.camerie.org/atc) or you may pay on the day of your production shoot at a cost of $50.00. These production fees help CATV continue to provide low-cost, locally produced programming to the Erie community.
