Community Access Media (CAM Erie) is offering local Erie candidates for public office the opportunity to appear on our spring “Access to the Candidates” media program. Voters in Erie County can watch your message and learn more about your candidacy in a 15-minute video segment. The videos will be shared on Spectrum Cable Channel 1021, VNET Fiber TV Channel 2, our website at www.camerie.org, YouTube, and Social Media. These video segments will be recorded in High Definition (HD) on location in our brand new professional production studio at 142 West 12th St. Erie, PA 16501.
Due to the on-going COVID-19 pandemic, we will be taking the necessary protocols in order to safely record these sessions. We require everyone who enters the building to wear a mask and complete our health screening upon entry or prior to arriving by visiting: www.camerie.org/covid. In addition, both the candidate and the interviewer will be socially distanced at their own individual podiums while on set during the entirety of the production.
Candidates who wish to take advantage of this opportunity should contact us by Monday, April 12, 2021 by phone at (814) 454-2226 or by email at email@example.com to schedule an appointment. Each appointment will take approximately 30 minutes. Candidates must be available to record their video at our studio on one of the following dates:
- Wednesday, April 14 from 10:00am – 6:30pm
- Thursday, April 15 from 1:30pm – 6:30pm
- Friday, April 16th from 9:30am – 4:30pm
- Saturday, April 17th from 9:30am – 12:30pm
*You may directly address your audience alone in front of the camera, or you can choose to bring in an interviewer with whom to conduct a dialogue*
The compiled programs that CAM produces, “Access to the Candidates”, will be aired several times per week between April 27 and the Primary Election on May 18. The specific air times for each segment will be announced on the CAM website, CAM social media pages, publicized in the Erie Times-News and in the Erie Reader.
There will be a one-time cost to your campaign, which will cover HD recording, post-production, and airing of your segment; as well as provide you a digital file copy for your personal use (website, social media, YouTube). You may prepay on our website at www.camerie.org/atc or you may pay on the day of your production shoot at a cost of $50.00. As a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization, these production fees help Community Access Media continue to provide quality, low-cost, locally produced programming to the Erie community.
We look forward to working with you to help better inform local voters about your candidacy. Please feel free to contact us at (814) 454-2226 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions or to schedule your appointment.
