Erie Gives Day

What is Erie Gives?

Erie Gives began in 2011 in honor of The Erie Community Foundation’s 75th Anniversary. Erie Gives 2020 will take place on August 11th, between the hours of 8 a.m. and 8 p.m.

During this 12-hour period of online giving, The Erie Community Foundation will match a percentage of each donation you make to your favorite nonprofit(s) when you donate through this website.

Why donate to CAM on Erie Gives Day?

100% of the donations received to CAM on Erie Gives Day will go towards installing a youth e-sports studio at the CAM Erie facilities. E-sports is dedicated to offering a fun and constructive alternative to traditional sports leagues for school-aged children. Through community e-sports, we would promote healthy competition, creativity, and social engagement with young people who share a love of gaming!

Programs and Services

Not enough time? Not enough people?

Community Access Media is authorized by the City of Erie to administer the public access Channel 1021 on Spectrum Cable and VNET Fiber TV Channel 2. The first two words in our name say it all. We are here to provide our community access to mass media and video production. CAM gives people and organizations the tools of media production, training, equipment, and the channel so that they can get their unique messages across to their intended audiences.

CAM works with many nonprofit organizations to promote their missions including: Community of Caring, the Bair Foundation, Erie Arts & Culture, Erie City Mission, International Institute of Erie, L’Arche Erie, Mental Health Association of NWPA, and the Young Erie Professionals. CAM also documents and broadcasts several local events each year including the Blues & Jazz Festival, Celebrate Erie, and Knockout Homelessness.

CAM Services and Facilities: training and workshops, video production equipment, video production and podcasting studios, HD editing suites, HD field cameras and light kits, HD mobile production truck, and low-cost video production services.
